EXPO 2021 HATAY aims to introduce the rich medicinal and aromatic plant flora of the province of Hatay to the whole world and to present to the visitors especially the endemic and commercially valuable species. In this area, it is planned to establish a “Detox and Healthy Living Centre”, which medicinal plants and herbal medicines will be used for treatment and a “Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Training Centre” where seminars on volatile oil extraction will be organized and workshops will be held.
We, Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, are planning to build a 5-hectares medicinal plant park near the Kisecik Expo area. This area, which will work in coordination with the Medicinal Park to be established within the Expo area, is considered as a demonstration area where best practices will be exhibited. Such a comprehensive formation will contribute to the rapid development of the sector.
