In the Expo nursery built on 3, 5 hectares next to the Kisecik Expo area, many plant varieties will be cultivated to be used at the Expo, from trees to flowers, from indoor and outdoor ornamental plants to endemic species. This area, which will also be used as an open air training centre in the botanical field, will provide both local people and visitors with different experiences. This nursery will allow the endemic species grown naturally to be grown by tissue culture and to use more species on a square meter basis in all parks and green areas by the municipality at more affordable costs. Within the scope of the European Union Horizon 2020 project, which is being carried out within the framework of our municipality, a demo centre will be located in this area on a one-hectare land, where vertical agriculture, aquaponics and hydroponic aquaculture systems are implemented. With this centre, it is aimed to introduce alternative cultivation systems, to provide trainings on these subjects ad to be an exemplary area.
