Aquaponic Agriculture

Aquaponic Agriculture, which is formed by the combination of traditional Aquatic Life Production (aquaculture) and Soilless Agriculture (hydroponic) systems, is an alternative system in sustainable food production.

By this method, which is a production model that encourages strengthening of regional agriculture in order to facilitate and accelerate the efficient use of sustainable resources, it has been observed that 4-5 times more yield is obtained on an m² basis. Moreover, in addition to conventional vegetable cultivation through Aquaponic Agriculture, certain vegetables as well as medicinal and aromatic plants can be cultivated.

Due to its use of innovative, renewable and environmentally friendly systems and its providing yield 4-5 times more per m², aquaponic agriculture is progressively gaining more attention worldwide.
