EXPO 2021 is in Hatay with all its colours
WHY HATAY?
Hatay is one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia. Historical findings of life in the region date from up to B.C. 100.000s. Findings show that the region was used as a common settlement area in the middle paleolithic, Neolithic, chalcolite periods and in the Bronze Age. Amik Plain; In Çatalhöyük Tel Tainat, Tel Cüdeyde and Tel Atçana, the first bronze age settlements were identified and architectural remains were found. Remains, in these settlements, gives clues that they lived in the form of small kingdom community.
What is EXPO ?
EXPO; is an Olympiad in the fields of culture, education, art, entertainment, environment and trade.
The word EXPO is the abbreviation of the word “Exposition”. Nowadays it is used to promote international fairs, and also it means the World Exhibition or World Fair.
EXPO is an international event which aims to support cooperation and increase the level of education of the public by promoting innovative sharing and progress.
Garden EXPOs:
Type A; at least 50 hectares (State-mandated)
Type B; Garden Exhibition areas at least 25 hectares (under the protection of the city and the private sector)
