UN Committee Visited Museum Hotel A visit to the Museum Hotel, the first in the world, which is hosted by HASİAD, was conducted with the UN committee that contacts with refugees and asylum seekers in our city. The world's largest single piece of mosaic work was admired. The committee was accompanied by HMM EXPO Gastronomy project experts together with HASİAD.

Mayor SAVAŞ Attended the Arlem Meeting Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lütfü SAVAŞ participated in the meeting of Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM). During the meeting held in Ramallah, Pelestine, consultations were held on the development moves of Mediterranean and European countries. On the other hand, ideas were shared on sustainable development planning and making citizens a part of common development.

EXPO 2021 Hatay and Gastronomy City Hatay Panel was Held at Turunçlu Defne House upon the Invitation of Defne People Initiative On 21 June 2019 Friday, Ömer Faruk Çelebi, Consultant of the Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality and Coordinator of EXPO 2021 Hatay and Gastronomy, made a presentation to the participants of Defne People Initiative. During the two-hour presentation, the participants were also informed about the place and importance of Defne at EXPO.

The Influx of Visitors to Hatay Hatay, the City of Civilizations, was a stopover point for local tourists during the Ramadan holiday. The occupancy rate of the hotels reached 90% during the holiday. Some of the citizens who come to Hatay visited the Long Bazaar, Hatay Archaeology Museum and Historical sites, and some of them preferred to taste unique flavours of Hatay, which has the title of Gastronomy City. As a result of the holiday of Ramadan, a positive increased in the city economy observed.

Chinese Author Visited EXPO Project Office The Chinese author Chen DANYAN and her team, who were looking to introduce Hatay and EXPO 2021 Hatay to the world, made consultations with Ömer Faruk ÇELEBİ, EXPO-Gastronomy Coordinator and Chairman Advisor, about the EXPO 2021 Hatay.
