Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, Assoc. Prof.  Mr LütfüSavaş was awarded as the Mayor of the Year with theAsi River Treatment of Wastewater Project by the Anatolian Local Government Magazine.

Mehmet Oğuz, Chairman of the İKS Media, who delivered his speech at the 8^thaward ceremony where local managers and mayors participated, stated that local managers were rewarded based on the projects they carried out.

Mayor Savaş, who was deemed worthy of the award with the Asi River Treatmentof Wastewater Project, also received the awards from Mehmet Oğuz, Chairman of IKS Media on behalf of Aalen and Kiel, the sister cities of Hatay.

Mayor Savaş said: “Our two sister cities in Germany built schools for the children of our guests coming from Syria in an effort to provide future for them where they can hold not the gun but the pencil and become nice leaders by living on with knowledge. Therefore, I would like to thank Aalen and Kiel mayors and councillors for this beautiful project.
